My journey has been shaped by navigating different cultures, systems, and ways of thinking, and learning how leadership, decision-making, and human dynamics play out in complex environments.
From China to a Global Perspective
Born in China to musician-professor parents, I was immersed early in discipline, performance, and attention to detail through traditional music training at the Shanghai Conservatory. This foundation shaped my understanding of focus, presence, and performance under pressure.
At 19, I moved to Canada, where I studied media and began my career in international higher education. Living and working in a multicultural environment, I learned to navigate and bridge different perspectives, cultures, and communication styles.
Later in France, I pursued a Master’s in Global Communications and went on to hold senior leadership roles in a leading business school, managing international teams and partnerships across Europe, Asia, Latin America, and Africa.
Leadership experience in complex environments
Over more than 25 years, I have worked at the intersection of education, business, and international environments – leading teams, driving global strategy, and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
Earlier in my career, I worked as a TV host and MC for large-scale events, engaging audiences and senior stakeholders in high-pressure, real-time settings. This experience sharpened my ability to communicate with clarity, manage presence, and navigate complex dynamics with composure.
These combined experiences strengthened my ability to align stakeholders, navigate complexity, and support leaders in communicating and making effective decisions under pressure.
Today, I work with senior leaders and executives across sectors, including CEOs and directors operating in international contexts (Europe, China, US and Africa), supporting them in navigating complex transitions, cross-cultural dynamics, and high-stakes decision-making.
Turning toward coaching
Over time, I became increasingly interested in what sits beneath leadership: how people think, decide, and act under pressure. This led me to formal coaching training and certification, and to deeper work in human dynamics and behavioral change.
